The Johnson lab attended the ACS National Meeting at New Orleans this past week! Joanna gave a talk at the Young Chemists & Water Session on unraveling the spectroscopic signatures of divalent metal ion binding to carboxylate head groups at the air-water interface with cold gas-phase clusters. Fabian spoke at the Ionic Liquids Seminar about elucidating the microscopic mechanics of attractive cation-cation interactions in hydroxyl-functionalized ionic liquids by isomer-selective vibrational spectroscopy of the N2-tagged, gas-phase (M+)2NTf2- ternary complexes.
